TheWarming Spark Without A Flame

Everyone needs Love in their lives,
That blessed spark,
That warms the dark nights,
And banishes the spectre of loneliness.

Well, Love I have,
This I know.

It is a deep Love,
But not as others might think of it,
For, for all it's Truth and Substance,
I have not a Mate.

And I am Happy,
Well, if not happy,
Content,
Or perhaps I just get by.

But I know myself to be a part,
Of something grander than just me.
I know that I am one of two,
Half a matched set.

I know that parts of my soul reside,
Locked away in another's heart.
Less than I could hope,
More than many can say.

Sigh and shrug,
I must walk on,
Accepting,
Of the graces I am allowed
